Description

This record is the second 7” in a series of locale specific 4-way splits from Rad Girlfriend Records. Focusing on different regions of the country, this record brings four bands all from South Florida with serious punk credentials offer up some fresh Rock and Roll on this slab of wax. Featuring The Chris Barrows Band (ex-Pink Lincolns front man), Armageddon Man, and Florida punk veterans No Fraud and F. Ranging from pop punk to hardcore, this release covers the spectrum of punk rock and gives a great look into the Florida scene from bands that have been around 20+ years. The Chris Barrows band picks up right where the Pink Lincolns left off. Barrows co-founded The Pink Lincolns in 1986 in Tampa, Florida, A Pioneer of the Tampa scene. Quickly becoming known for his trademark snotty humor and stage antics, Chris Barrows paved the way for modern day pop punk with the likes of The Queers and Screeching Weasel. F was formed in the early 1980s and was first featured on "The Land that Time Forgot" compilation issued by the Open Books & Records Label. F has gone on to release 9 full-length releases. The band is still currently touring throughout the US and releasing new albums. No Fraud is a hardcore punk/thrash metal band from Venice, Florida. They are known for their fast music and wild, energized live shows. Their early work received rave reviews from publications like Maximum Rock n Roll and Suburban Voice. They have releases on well-known record labels such as Nuclear Blast Records and Stiff Pole Records. Since 1984, No Fraud has released several albums, EPs, singles, and compilations. They’ve played with all of the greats: Agnostic Front, Suicidal Tendencies, Fang, Circle Jerks, Bad Brains, M.D.C., Scream, and the U.K. Subs and continue to tour and record. South Florida’s Armageddon Man is the newest of the four bands on the 7”. With influences like FEAR, Misfits and Black Flag, Armageddon Man sounds like a Motorhead from the swamp. This record captures a snapshot of a punk scene in South Florida that spans over three decades. Any punk rocker would do well to own this record and learn about some of the history that comes along with. Record comes with a download code.
